Woodford, Queensland, Australia – November 13, 2022, World Environmental Solutions Pty Limited (WES). Our Water from Air Machines arrive on Norfolk Island, the home of descendants of the HMS Bounty Mutiny in the South Pacific. Some of the mutineers moved permanently from Pitcairn Island to Norfolk Island in the mid 1800’s. Their biggest problem today on the Island is drinking water.

MultiGen Water from Air Machines

“The 1700 or so residents, many descendants of the HMS Bounty, have no reticulated water and rely on rainwater catchment tanks and old bores. Most of these tanks went dry in 2019-2020. Conserving water has enabled islanders to weather inevitable dry years however in recent decades, dry spells in this part of the South Pacific have become more frequent and severe.” says Walter (Wallie) Ivison CEO and founder of WES.

“These units are perfect for many NGOs working in remote areas where access to decent drinking water is limited and is complex . The various scaled design applications of MultiGen Water from Air technology will initially provide a reliable but helpful solution for a variety of the Islands residents and guests ” says Walter Ivison, CEO WES.

This ever increasing and growing crisis with respect to clean drinking water is even more acute as the island relies on Tourists interested in the history of the Island as an early Australian penal colony in the late 18th century. These tourists frequent the many accommodation homes on the Island.
